God is pleased with those who believe and trust him, the bible says in Hebrews 11:6; "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." We must believe that "he is"; meaning that he exist. If we truly "know" that he exist, then we can trust him with all our heart. If we trust him, it will produce hope, and hope sustained leads to patience. As the bible says in Psalm 25:3; "No one who hopes on the Lord will ever be put to shame".
